Andrew graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2008 and commenced his career in Melbourne where he gained a wealth of experience providing podiatric care for a broad range of lower limb conditions.
Andrew relocated to Newcastle in 2012 where he continued his journey to develop his clinical expertise in all facets of podiatry. Andrew’s clinical experience and passion of endurance cycling has led to a special interest in lower limb biomechanics, orthotic therapy, and sports podiatry.
Andrew enjoys watching and playing various sports with his two young children.
Jacob graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2017 and began his career in Far North Queensland, where he completed his new graduate year. During this time, he gained valuable experience managing a broad range of podiatry conditions in both urban and remote settings.
For the past 2.5 years, Jacob has been a valued member of the team at New Lambton Podiatry. He enjoys the variety that comes with working across all aspects of podiatry and takes pride in building long-term relationships with his patients. His areas of special interest include biomechanics, paediatrics, and the treatment of persistent or recurring ingrown toenails.
When he’s not in the clinic, Jacob enjoys keeping active through running and gym training. He’s a lifelong sports fan and is always up for a chat about the latest games, player stats, or upcoming events.
Taryn is a dedicated and compassionate podiatrist committed to delivering high-quality foot care to patients of all ages. She brings a warm and patient-focused approach to every consultation, ensuring individuals feel heard, supported, and confident in their treatment.
Since graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2010, Taryn has worked full time in private practice. Over the course of 12 years living and working in Sydney, she gained valuable experience treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions in both clinical and community settings. Her areas of interest include general foot care, diabetic foot health, and managing chronic conditions that impact mobility and quality of life.
In 2024, Taryn returned to the Hunter region to be closer to family and joined the team at New Lambton and Merewether Podiatry. She’s passionate about supporting the local community and helping people stay active and independent through all stages of life.
Taryn takes a patient-centred approach and believes in the importance of education and prevention to support long-term foot health, mobility, and overall wellbeing. She regularly works alongside other allied health professionals and stays up to date with the latest treatment methods through ongoing professional development.
Zac graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle in 2016. Since graduating, Zac has worked in Warrnambool, a town in regional Victoria for 5 years. During the COVID years, he moved to the northern suburbs of Sydney, working in Mosman and Dee Why.
Returning to his hometown of Newcastle in 2025, Zac is excited to spend more time with his family. In his spare time, you will find Zac playing cricket, golf and football. After living away from Newcastle, he is most looking forward to watching live sporting events and exploring the local restaurant scene.
Zac is passionate about rehabilitating acute sports injuries and getting athletes back to their chosen sport. He understands the uncertainty that an injury can create and he values the importance of diagnosis, understanding and planning to return back to play.
Along the way, Zac has worked closely with Physiotherapists, Exercise physiologists, Massage therapists and other allied professionals to provide consolidated treatment plans for simple and complex cases.
He is passionate about continued professional development and has completed training in dry needling, myofascial cupping, shockwave therapy and further studies into soft tissue injuries.
Balancing out the passion for sports-related injuries, Zac enjoys providing the essential podiatry treatments. Including general treatment, ingrowing nail surgical removal and Hyperkeratosis (corn) and Verruca Plantaris (Wart) management.
During COVID lockdown in Victoria, Zac started playing Darts at home. Once lockdowns were lifted, he joined a team in Sydney and won an Amateur Competition. His favourite and most obscure sporting achievement.
Cathy brings over 35 years of experience to her work in podiatry. Her passion for the profession and commitment to patient care have made her a trusted name in the community.
Over the decades, she has had the privilege of treating multiple generations of families, forming long-lasting connections with her patients. Cathy takes pride in delivering personalised, high-quality care and continues to find joy in helping people stay mobile, active, and pain-free at every stage of life.
Carla is our dedicated Practice Manager who ensures the smooth operation for both Merewether and New Lambton clinics. A Podiatrist is a university qualified, registered allied health professional that treats conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower limbs. They provide services including treatment for skin and nail conditions, conduct biomechanical assessments and nail surgery, as well as diagnose and manage sporting injuries.

Payment is required on the day of consultation. We accept Visa/Mastercard, HICAPS, and cash payments.
Patients with chronic and complex medical needs may be eligible for Medicare rebates. Talk to your GP to see if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as the Enhanced Primary Care Program).
Eligible patients can claim their Medicare Rebate immediately via our HICAPS machine.
Health funds often cover podiatry however it depends on your level of cover. Contact your health fund to see if you are covered.
Patients with podiatry cover with their private health insurance can claim immediately via our HICAPS machine – simply swipe your card to claim your health fund rebate and only pay the gap.
